New Program Helps Kids Go To College

All babies born or adopted in Colorado can now receive a $100 contribution toward their college savings account, thanks to the new First Step program by CollegeInvest. The program helps families from all economic backgrounds get an early start on saving for post-secondary education.This jump-start to savings aims to inspire children and show that college can be a realistic and achievable goal. First Step launched on January 1, 2020. Families can apply on the CollegeInvest website starting Tuesday, February 18.

Every Child Pediatrics is promoting this program with patients as part of our mission to help all children be healthy and reach their full potential. We support early childhood literacy through our 20+ year partnership with Reach Out and Read Colorado and promote success in school as part of our comprehensive model of care.

With the start of the new year, we are already looking ahead to our 23rd Annual Fore the Love of Kids Golf Tournament. This signature fundraising event event will be held on Monday, June 15 at Fossil Trace Golf Club in Golden, one of the top golf courses in the Denver area. Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, this one-of-a-kind course offers a challenging layout and a unique history complete with fossils of palm fronds and triceratops footprints.
