Our 4th Annual Kids Health Symposium is a free community luncheon to share insights about ways to improve child well-being. This year's event will take place at the History Colorado Center on October 25th from 11:30am-1:00pm. Our Keynote Speaker, State Rep. Leslie Herod, will focus on our Power to Heal our communities through access to healthcare, specifically behavioral health.

Rep. Herod represents House District 8 in Northeast Denver, which includes the Denver office of Every Child Pediatrics. Elected in 2016, Rep. Herod is the first African American LGBT candidate elected to the Colorado State Legislature. She serves on the House committees of Judiciary, Finance and Legal Services and worked on legislation to support homeless youth, access to behavioral health and reproductive health care, criminal justice reform, immigration rights and Colorado entrepreneurs. In April 2018, Urban Peak, Colorado’s leading homeless youth service agency, honored Rep. Herod with the “Maverick Thinker” award for the impact she has made on the lives of homeless youth in Denver.

New School-Based Health Center Opens in Aurora

On August 7th, we opened our 4th School-Based Health Center at Gateway High School in Aurora! The Olympian Wellness Center will be open Mondays and Wednesdays 9 am to 5 pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays 1-5 pm and is open to all APS students and their siblings. Current services include primary care and behavioral health.

Dr. Karen Leamer named 5280 Top Doctor

Congratulations to Dr. Karen Leamer for the distinguished honor of being named a 5280 Top Doctor in the Pediatric Specialty! Dr. Leamer has provided care to children in our Aurora Office since 2010.

Golf Tournament Success!

Thank you to all of our sponsors, players and supporters who helped to make our 21st Annual Fore the Love of Kids Golf Tournament a success! Nearly 120 people joined us for a gorgeous day at Arrowhead. We had new sponsors this year and a wonderful array of silent auction packages. In all, we raised over $60,000 at the event to support our integrated health care services for children!
